Ubisoft to Update Rainbow Six Siege Servers
Ubisoft have announced that they are going to update game servers for Rainbow Six Siege to reduce the amount of connectivity issues. The update will be gradual and affect all platforms.
The servers for PC and PlayStation will start updating already this week, while Xbox servers will begin migrating to faster servers a bit later. The newer servers will provide the developers with more tools to solve connectivity issues some players have been experiencing lately.
This week Ubisoft announced that Rainbow Six Siege reached 70 million registered players, with 15 million players joining the game just last year. The Steam statistics shows that last month the average number of concurrent players was over 70,000, with peak number being 123,637.
Earlier this month Ubisoft indefinitely postponed Six Invitational 2021, which was supposed to take place in Paris this month – the French government banned non-EU citizens from entering the country, so it became impossible to held the event. Currently the future of the tournament remains undecided.
