Team Aster Eliminated from Huya Dota2 Winter Invitational 2021

The playoffs stage of Huya Dota2 Winter Invitational 2021 has started and we already have two eliminated teams – in the first round of the lower bracket, iG Vitality lost to Xtreme Gaming (2-0), while Team Aster were defeated by Team SMG (0-2). The teams shared the 7-8th place and each claimed about $8,600 in prize money.

The event continues today with the second round of the lower bracket – first, Royal Never Give Up will face Xtreme Gaming, and then Vici Gaming will play with Team SMG.

This was the first event for Team Aster since The International 2021, where they placed 13th – 16th. Following their run at the TI, the team made only one replacement in the roster – their midlaner Liu "White丶Album" Yuhao was replaced by Yu "Siamese.C" Yajun from the organization’s youth squad.

Huya Dota2 Winter Invitational 2021 is an online event that features ten Chinese teams competing for a ~$150,000 prize pool. The event will conclude on December 31st with a best-of-five grand finale, the winner of which will claim about $34,000.
