The International 2026 will be held in Shanghai

Valve has officially announced the venue for The International 2026 — the largest Dota 2 tournament. The event will take place in Shanghai in August 2026. Details about dates and the tournament format will be revealed later.

The announcement was made by Gabe Newell, who thanked the audience in Germany for their support and for creating an exciting atmosphere at the current TI. According to him, it is the fans who make the tournament truly thrilling.

The first and only previous time The International was held in China was in 2019. Back then, OG claimed the championship title by defeating Liquid in the final.
